On Partnership
"Still," he said, "there are a few rules I know to be true about love and marriage: If you don't respect the other person, you're gonna have a lot of trouble. If you don't know how to compromise, you're gonna have a lot of trouble. If you can't talk openly about what goes on between you, you're gonna have a lot of trouble. And if you don't have a common set of values in life, you're gonna have a lot of trouble. Your values must be alike... Love each other or perish." Tuesdays With Morrie, Mitch Albom, Pg 149

On Soul Mates
"A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you and then they leave." Eat, Pray, Love; Elizabeth Gilbert

Believe in love...
You’re gone now
Yet you’re not
You’re in my bed
At my table
In my thoughts
I feel you
I see you
It’s as though
I’m seeing through your eyes
As though we are one
Is it lust?
You’re gone now
Will you be back
To sing with
To laugh with
To share with
To argue with
Just be with
Learning and yearning
And living a life together
Where boundaries don’t exist
And painting is play
Is it love?
Believe... in something... now
Yet you’re not
You’re in my bed
At my table
In my thoughts
I feel you
I see you
It’s as though
I’m seeing through your eyes
As though we are one
Is it lust?
You’re gone now
Will you be back
To sing with
To laugh with
To share with
To argue with
Just be with
Learning and yearning
And living a life together
Where boundaries don’t exist
And painting is play
Is it love?
Believe... in something... now
